XIII. Rehabilitation Department

We have professional physicians with an out-standing medical team to provide physical, occupational function, and language treatments as well as early treat-ment on retarded children. The Department has the broad and bright treatment space with various kinds of new equipment while therapists are very warm-hearted. The main treatments include pains in the loins and back, shoulder periarteritis, sciatica, osteoarthrosis, sports inju-ries, and strokes. |
XIV. Nursing Department
- Objectives:
Service, teaching, research and high quality ~~~to have the spirit of Nightingale: tenderness, caring, profes-sionalism and we are always taking care of you.
- Critical Care: 24 wards with 50 nursing staffers for pro-fessional services
Respiratory Care:8 wards with four therapist who have certificates accredited by the government.
- Emergency nursing: Around the clock professional ser-vices.
- Hemodialysis: 27 wards in three shifts of day and night.
- Surgical nursing: The medical teams from each depart-ment to provide the surgical services on the whole body.
- Neurological nursing: 75 wards for acute disorders and 70 wards for chronic disorders and family nursing is available.
- Nursing for babies and mothers: Warm caring for the whole people and family.
- Nursing for the burned: The first burns center in south-ern Taoyuan was established in May 2001
- Long-term nursing: Community health care and instruc-tions→preparations for hospitalization→hospitalized treatments→preparation to leave the hospital→home care→Nursing Center (99 beds) for a continuous and whole course of services.

XVI. Physical Examination Center

Various physical examinations are available for the armed force and general public, including the annual and mission examinations, top grade examinations for the public (made by attending doctors), examinations for adults and elders covered by National Health Insurance Bureau, examinations on foreign labors, examinations for tests, employment and license examinations (dining, nanny and driver’s licenses, etc), enrollment of military schools, students and labors (including regular and spe-cial procedures) made at the companies and schools or groups at the Hospital.

XVIII. Home Care
- Continuous medical and nursing services for patients with chronic diseases.
- Instructing the family members caring skills, helping to release the economic burden, and reducing the medi-cal cost of the society.
- The Hospital’s caring system extends to the community to enforce the community medical service policy.
XIX. Preparation Room for Hospitalization
- Introducing the environment and preparations re-quired to be hospitalized to the patients.
- Conducting regular examinations prior to hospitaliza-tion: height, weight, cardiogram, vital signs, collection of blood and urine.
- Guiding the patients to X-Ray Department for exami-nations.
- Arranging the wards for hospitalization.
- To be the bridge between the patients and wards; solv-ing patients’ problems and answering to their questions.
- To provide proper nursing instructions when neces-sary such as notices prior to the operations, health re-quirements on diseases and health instructions.
- Water, newspaper and TV for the patients.
XX. Social Services
Six professional social workers with one in charge of voluntary workers
for the following services:
- Psychological counseling
- Handling of sexual assault cases
- Handling of domestic violence cases
- Assistance to unidentified patients
- Preparations to leave the hospital
