What is diarrhea? It is the so-called have loose bowels. The color of excrement of a normal person is yellowish and the shape is bar-type, and the texture is soft. A normal person defecates once to twice a day. While having diarrhea, the time of defecation increases and the texture is sparse or watery. - Understand the possible cause of diarrhea, the shape and properties of your excrement, times and whether there are other people who also have diarrhea.
- Don’t eat any food temporarily but you can drink sports drink, boiled water or thin salt water. If you vomit, you should stop eating or drinking.
- Frequent diarrhea would make the part around anus red and swollen. You can use a soft cotton cloth or wet paper towel to wipe your anus and use warm water to wash it.
- If you have diarrhea many times and the symptom does not change, and it combines with nausea, vomiting, fever, or grume or blood excrement, you should come to hospital as soon as possible.
- Apart from the prescription from doctors, you should not buy antibiotics or antidiarrheal by yourself to prevent from the worsening of diarrhea.
- When you are recovering from diarrhea, you can eat cooked mild food, and have more meals a day but less food at each. Avoid pungent, indigestible, fried and dairy food, etc. to prevent from worsening of symptom.
