For which the clinical indications include:
- Melancholia
- Compulsion neurosis
- Trepidation
- Phagomania
- Social evasionism
- Miscellaneous: pre-menstruation syndromes, trauma syndromes, impetuosity syndromes.
Time it will usually take to see effects:
Improvement in sleeping and appetite --- approx. 1~2 weeks
Improvement in sentiments --- approx. 4~6 weeks
Have patient because it will time for the medicament to gain inroads to the brain and start functioning there. Pray not alter the dosage or suspend the intake, or input intermittently at will.
How long should the medicament be taken?
As a rule of the thumb, patient who is struck by melancholis for the first time should input drugs for at least six months continuously, but for whom drugs may be stopped gradually under doctor’s supervision, if clinically proven clear of symptoms against diagnostic observation.
Still, in case with a given patient fits and bouts have occurred repeatedly, medicament treatment should be prescribed on a sustaining basis.
Side effects:
- Any and all medicines, western or oriental, herbal or synthetic, inherently bear side effects differing in severity.
- All the medicines available for prescription in this country have gone through long term human experiments before it is licensed for use by the medical profession, the licensing agency is the Drug Administration Division of the Health Bureau. Due to individualized differential, side effects listed below may not manifest themselves on all or every recipient, and they might not be serious even in the affirmative case.
- The time of incidence of side effects may be prior to the emergence of medicare efficacy or afterwards.
- Medicament allergia occurs at certain changes. In the event of side effects pray consult with your doctor to see if there is a need to change the prescription. The incidence of side effects does not necessarily mean tht your doctor is not up to the level or has committed a mistake prescribing the recipe. Don’t stop drug intake or suspend the treatment while you are dubious without adequate counseling.
Common side effects
- Sleepiness or general weakness—will pass with time; when struck by it, don’t drive operate machines. Don’t input your drug with alcohol, or the side effects would aggravate.
- Exhilaration, restlessness or impetuosity—in respect of which moderate cases will improve as time passes by; in certain cases may comes off with somnipathy, in that event it is advisable to change the drug intake hour to forenoon.

- Blurred vision – transitory, maybe stronger illumination or the use of a magnifying glass is required, if the condition persists keep the doctor informed.
- Dry mouth – drink more of water and brush your teeth to improve your health condition. Consume acid candy or masticate chewing gum made of substitutive sugar may help promote salivary secretion, and that helps to improve a dry mouth.
- Constipation – can be improved by eating more of vegetable, fruit and drinking more of water, and makes a subject for discussion with the doctor for the prescription of emollient agents.
Rarely incident side effects
- Stomal pain.
- Skin irritation or rash, facial swelling due to allergia.
- Influenza syndromes.
- Jaundice, urine turning yellowish.
- Muscular pain, inflammation.
- Agitation and restlessness.
- Exhilaration, ecstasy, getting excited to the point of failing to fall asleep.
If menorrhea has not shown up past due, or suspicious that you may have become pregnant, keep the doctor informed accordingly.
Where you have skipped one intake of the dosage, leave it without making up an input, but be sure to comply with subsequent intake recipe through to completion.
If you are taking other drugs altogether, make sure that you let your doctor know of it. |
