- After surgery, nose will be filled with gauze sticks for around 3-4 days, then doctor will remove them. Please must not remove them on your own.
- May exchange new one if gauzes wrapped outside nose is wet.
- May need to put on ice pack for 24-72 hours (in between both eye brows) accordingly, in order to cease bleeding, swelling, and alleviate pains.
- After surgery, patient may rest in half-sitting and half-laying down method, in order to relieve swellings at specific part, in order to encourage circulation.
- After surgery, secretions from mouth and nose will increase, sometimes along with bloody water. Only you have to do is to put your tongue and send secretions out of mouth and wipe.
- Patient must breathe with mouth, and always brush mouth and keep mouth moisturized and clean.
- If patient swallows in bloods while in surgery, then evacuate black stool 1-2 days after surgery. Patient should stay calm and report to doctor.
- If bloods are frequently leaked out of gauze or are moved backwards outside nose, then patient has met conditions such as swallow stuff articles into throat or have difficulty with breathing, should report to nursing attendant or doctor immediately.
- Please avoid wiping snivels, pick nose, and sneezing frequently to prevent bleeding condition.
- If patient is sneezing, then he/she can gently block nostril with fingers and sneeze out from mouth.
- Please must not wash face, shower, or drink with hot water in exceeding hot temperature for avoiding bleeding condition.
- Please avoid taking trenuous exercises within two weeks, such as push-up, play basketball, or lift weights (more than 15 cm), for avoiding bleeding condition.
- After having fracture on nasal bone or nasal plastic surgery, must not let nasal bone ensure anymore pressure within two weeks after having stuffed articles in nose removed.
- After having sinusitis surgery, patient should avoid getting cold, swimming, or smoking, for avoiding 2nd time stimulation on new born mucosa.
- After leaving hospital, please take medicine regularly and return for routinely re-examination.
