- The Patient should take a rest at a quiet place and block up his head to 30 degrees.
- In the first three days, when the patient is asleep, he needs to be accompanied and observed. The companion should wake him up every two hours and talk to him to check whether his consciousness is clear. If his response is clear, then let him go back to sleep.
- After leaving the hospital, the patient should not be allowed to smoke, drink alcohol or eat any spicy food. The others are as usual. However, when it is difficult to chew, the patient should change to spoon meat, such as porridge and noodles. In the first 24 hours, the intake of water should be limited.
- If the situation is the same as any of the follows, the patient should come back to the emergency room immediately,
(1) Unclear consciousness or unconsciousness
(2) Unbearable severe headache but not from the injured place
(3) Vomit continuously in a short period, if only once a while, the patient can remain observed.
(4) Breathing difficulty
(5) Difficult to communicate or extremely anxious
(6) One side of extremities are less capable of moving and becoming paralysed.
(7) Clonus in hands or corners of the mouth.
- If no situation is the same as the mentioned before, the patient still has to come back to neurological clinic in three months to make sure the brain is normal.
