During the ceremony, the Director praised the former Director, Dr. Dai, for enhancing service management efficiency and improving the overall environment since he took office on June 1, 2023. Dr. Dai actively worked to elevate the quality of medical care, leading the entire hospital in planning the construction of a new emergency and critical care medical building, establishing advanced hybrid operating rooms, and implementing a comprehensive full-body vascular stent imaging system. Under his leadership, the team received multiple national quality awards, including SNQ certification and recognition as an outstanding unit by health authorities, among other honors. Dr. Dai diligently fulfilled his responsibilities and completed the tasks assigned by his superiors on time, earning praise from officials at all levels.

The new Director, Brigadier General Yang Zhongqi, is a graduate of the 89th class of the National Defense Medical Center’s Medical Department (class of 1996). He has held various positions, including Director of the Army Medical Department, Director of the Medical Management Department of the Military Medical Bureau, Director of the Medical Department at Taoyuan General Hospital, and Director of the Hsinchu Branch of Taoyuan General Hospital, demonstrating his extensive academic and professional experience. Director Yang is recognized for his generosity, seriousness in handling affairs, exceptional professional skills, and a strong sense of responsibility and mission. In response to the demands of his role, he has been appointed as the Director of Taoyuan General Hospital. It is anticipated that he will leverage his vast administrative experience to further enhance the quality of military medical care, uphold the esteemed traditions of military medicine, and maintain his unwavering dedication and enthusiasm in advancing hospital operations, thereby fulfilling the trust placed in him by officials at all levels.
