On February 19, 2025, the Taoyuan Armed Forces General Hospital conducted its carbon inventory closing meeting, chaired by Director General Dai Mingzheng. The meeting included the participation of Chairman Ye Yinmin and his team from the International Medical Carbon Reduction Association, who acted as the advisory team for the hospital’s carbon inventory. They offered essential support, guidance, and specific recommendations for this initiative.
During the meeting, we outlined the process for conducting a carbon inventory. By following the steps of “boundary, source, calculation, reporting, and verification”, we successfully produced our hospital’s inaugural carbon inventory report. This report is scheduled for third-party verification in March to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data.
Additionally, the Carbon Reduction Association’s advisory team provided customized carbon reduction plans for our hospital, categorized into short-term, medium-term, and long-term strategies based on our current carbon emissions profile. These plans include:
