Department of Outpatient and Emergency
Introduction
Our hospital’s Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, year-round, and is staffed by 18 specialized physicians, including 11 full-time attending specialists since August 2016. They provide professional, high-quality emergency medical and rescue services. Our hospital is a moderate-level emergency care facility located in South Taoyuan, tasked with regional medical responsibilities. We offer the following emergency specialty services:
- Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Dentistry – 24-Hour Emergency Medical Services
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy – Since January 2016, we have assembled a dedicated team to provide prompt medical consultations and develop effective treatment plans for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
- Toxic Disaster Management – Our hospital is the designated facility for managing toxic disasters in South Taoyuan and is fully equipped to care for patients affected by such incidents.
- Emergency Medicine Specialist Training – Our hospital is the only facility in the military medical system, aside from TSGH, that is authorized to train emergency medicine specialists.

- Management of Traffic Accidents, Trauma, and Fractures: Timely intervention in the aftermath of traffic accidents, trauma, and fractures is essential for minimizing injuries and facilitating recovery.
- Management of Major Environmental Accidents: Responding to various environmental incidents and implementing effective emergency response strategies.
- General Pediatric Emergencies: Effective management of acute pediatric emergencies is essential for safeguarding children’s health.
- General Gynecological Emergencies: Management of acute conditions in women, including abdominal pain and bleeding.
- Psychiatric Emergencies: Professional emergency treatment for various acute mental health issues.
- General Dental Emergencies: Timely treatment for sudden toothaches, dental injuries, and other urgent dental concerns.
