Introduction

Our hospital is a military facility that provides healthcare services to both military personnel and the public during peacetime. Additionally, it serves as a medical center responsible for the third operational area during wartime. The community medical services offered within the hospital are categorized into military and civilian sectors.

In accordance with government healthcare policies, our hospital established the “Community Health Promotion Center” in 2004, integrating internal resources with a professional healthcare team to provide high-quality health services to the community. In 2005, we further established the “Department of Community Medicine” to strengthen collaboration with community organizations, enhance public health literacy through various health promotion activities, and position the hospital as a trusted medical center within the community.

Since 1992, our hospital has been certified as a “Training Hospital for Family Medicine Specialists”. In 1994, the “Family Medicine Department” was officially established, focusing on healthcare for both military and civilian populations, as well as preventive and long-term care. The Family Medicine Department emphasizes a “patient-centered” care philosophy, delivering comprehensive, continuous, coordinated, accessible, and accountable medical services.

The Family Medicine Department offers preventive health screenings, outpatient care, chronic disease management, and long-term care. Additionally, it actively engages in health promotion initiatives within the surrounding communities, striving to be a “good neighbor” to those it serves.
