The neurology department specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders related to the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, and muscles. It is equipped with advanced neurophysiological examination tools, including electroencephalograms (EEG), electromyography (EMG), cervical ultrasound, and transcranial Doppler ultrasound equipment. These instruments facilitate accurate diagnostic and treatment information, enabling physicians to gain a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s condition.

Electroencephalogram (EEG): A diagnostic tool used to detect electrical activity in the brain. It is primarily applied in the diagnosis of epilepsy and other neurological disorders.
Electromyography (EMG): Examines the function of muscles and nerves, aiding in the diagnosis of nerve or muscle diseases, such as peripheral neuropathy.
Evoked Potentials (EP): Measure the nervous system’s response to specific stimuli, assisting in the diagnosis of visual, auditory, or sensory nerve disorders.
Transcranial Doppler (TCD): A diagnostic tool used to assess blood flow in the brain’s blood vessels, allowing for the evaluation of cerebral vascular health.
